Enter the Gathering: Ecclesia in Culture Begins!

There’s something sacred about beginnings. God speaks, and something new begins to live. Today, with a deep breath and full heart, I welcome you to Ecclesia in Culture, a blog for those navigating life, faith, work, and the world we live in, through the lens of purpose and Kingdom truth.

This space was born out of my own journey, as a Human Resources professional learning to carry both order and anointing into the workplace; as a woman of faith, learning how to remain rooted in truth while living in a culture that constantly shifts; and as someone, like many of you, who is asking:
"How do I live fully in this world without being lost in it?"

What You’ll Find Here

Ecclesia in Culture is divided into four simple but powerful lanes:

  • Life – reflections on growth, healing, relationships, identity, and navigating the in-between moments
  • Faith – devotionals, teachings, and spiritual encouragement to anchor you in truth
  • Work – career insights, calling conversations, and how to bring faith into the workplace
  • Culture – where we talk about trends, values, and how believers can stand firm and speak boldly in today's world

Why "Ecclesia in Culture"?

Rooted in Jesus’ words in Matthew 16:18 (NKJV) "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church (Ecclesia), and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."

Ecclesia speaks of a divine mandate: In ancient Greek culture, the Ecclesia (pronounced ek-klay-see-ah) referred to a governmental assembly, a group of citizens called out (“the called-out ones”) from their homes into a public place to govern the city's affairs.  It’s not just a church word; it’s a Kingdom identity.

We were never meant to blend in. We’re called to live differently. To lead with light. To carry conviction with compassion. To live out loud, not just in church, but in culture.

A Gentle Invitation

I won’t pretend to have all the answers. But I do promise to write honestly, share deeply, and point you back to the One who holds all things together.

So if you’ve ever felt the tension between purpose and pressure, calling and culture, truth and trend, this is your space.

Pull up a seat. Read, reflect, and feel free to share your thoughts. Let’s walk this journey together, bold, Spirit-led, and fully alive.

With love, light, and purpose,
Abiah Wendy
